Tim Dessereau

Tim Dessereau resides in Milwaukee, WI. and is a part time Mayville resident as well. He is the proud owner of the K 9 modified 1931 Chevy coupe that was built by Billy "the Cat" Johnson. Johnson campaigned it for three years, winning the EWSC Championship in 1972. Ken Blaine also drove the car before it ended up being driven by Reggie Cochart of Brussels, WI. The car was located by Jim Haag late in 2000. Tim purchased it from Cochart in February 2001. The Mod was in remarkable shape when found, due to the fact that it was kept indoors for many years. Upon returning home from Brussels, Tim called upon Eddie Weber to start the restoration process. After Eddie did the bodywork and paint, it was Billy Hoffman's turn to letter the car. The end result was beautiful restoration of the 1972 car. Bill Thompson and Chris Ratajczyk were responsible for getting it running and Pete and Jackie Ostrowski put in some late hours fabricating the front booger bars. "All in all it was a team effort" said Dessereau, " I really appreciated all the help I received on the project" Tim attends the majority of the group's shows throughout the year and the car is always a big hit with the fans. Tim's biggest thrill has been meeting the Johnson family and listening to their compliments on this classic race car. Tim works for the Milwaukee Public Schools. He is Married to Mary and has three children, Dawn, Brian, and Lynn.
